The Judging

There are two judging stages of the competition; 

Stage 1

Digital entries only. These individual images are used for judging and will receive a score and feedback from the open judging session. 

(Submission of digital images will be via uploading on this website and this will be available on the 'Opening of Entries' day.)

Stage 1 Judging is 5th - 7th August 2024

Stage 2

Matted Prints. After `finalists' have been chosen from stage 1 (e.g., the top folios and individual images), entrants will be invited to print, mat and prepare their images for the exhibition and for the judging of category winners, individual awards and overall Ilford Professional Photographer of the Year winner award.

Stage 2 Judging is 2nd September 2024

There will be two drop-off points available for 'Stage 2' Finalists (Print) Entries:

Matted prints will need to be dropped off at either of these location by the close of business on Thursday 29th August.
