Consolidation of Subcategories
Entrants will have the option of entering a subcategory (if available). For example, an entrant can enter their work into the portrait subcategory of `Family’ OR `General' if none of the subcategories are suitable.. In the event that four or less folios (each with four images) are received for a subcategory, then that sub-category will be `consolidated’ with images and folios for this subcategory to be merged into the `General' category.
Winning entries of any subcategory will be declared a `winner of that subcategory’ (e.g., “Winner of the Portrait subcategory Family”) and will be in the running for the “Portrait Photographer of the Year” award, along with all the other entries in this category and any of the subcategories with the main category.). Prize monies will only be available to winners of the main categories.
In the event of any subcategory being consolidated into a main category, entrants will be advised shortly after the entries closing date.
Student Category
Student entries will be judged within nominated categories (as listed above), cannot win a category but will be eligible for “Student Photographer of the Year’.
